Director of Foundation Relationships

NorthBay is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Foundations to lead our efforts in securing funding and support from private and public foundations. The Director of Foundations will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining relationships with foundations to secure the funding necessary to advance our mission. This full-time position will be measured based on revenue performance.

Outdoor Environmental/SEL Educator

NorthBay is seeking full-time Educators to teach environmental education, environmental science, character and outdoor education to school students. Educators ensure the safety of students while providing social-emotional learning experiences within an outdoor environmental education setting.

NorthBay is looking for a highly motivated, personable individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who can work independently and effectively within a team. Night Education Assistant Manager (Overnight)

NorthBay is seeking a Night Education Assistant Manager to oversee the overnight counseling team in the evenings and overnight during our school-year programs. They will act as NorthBay Point of Contact for visiting staff, guests/chaperones and students during the evening and overnight. The Assistant Manager will be a positive role model and support students, teachers, parents and guests in the areas of afternoon and evening activities They will ensure quality programming within the afternoon sessions of our environmental and social emotional learning activities through direct supervision and training of overnight counseling staff.

Overnight Counselor

NorthBay Education is a non-profit organization providing large-scale, innovative education programs to public school students and superior quality retreat experiences to guest renters. Headquartered in North East Maryland, NorthBay is the largest program of its kind, serving middle school students from Maryland and surrounding states with the goal of transforming lives and inspiring action by fundamentally changing the way students experience and engage in education.

NorthBay Overnight Counselors live our mission every day and with every student interaction. Challenging students to recognize that their attitudes and actions have a lasting impact on their future, the environment and the people around them is the cornerstone of NorthBay’s purpose, and our Night Education Team demonstrates this mindset both through their enforcement of our Social-Emptional Learning curriculum and through the genuine care given to each student attending our campus.

Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with Bachelor’s Degree in outdoor education, environment or natural science, education, art, language arts or related fields preferred. Teaching or other youth program experience is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication is required.

Adventure Assistant Manager

NorthBay is seeking an Adventure Assistant Manager to ensure the safe and effective use of adventure elements on campus. The Adventure Assistant Manager will have a thorough knowledge of the operation, maintenance and safety procedures of adventure elements relevant to the NorthBay program (ropes course, zip lines, climbing walls, giant swing, etc…). She/he will have the demonstrated ability to facilitate professional group teambuilding activities. The Adventure Assistant Manager will have excellent teaching techniques and positive student, teacher and staff rapport.

Housekeeping Supervisor

NorthBay is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to provide managerial support to the housekeeping team in manager’s absence, including final room/area inspections and completion of daily task sheets. Housekeeping is an integral part of the success of our programs; our Housekeeping Supervisor will be a positive role model for NorthBay and have the ability to be flexible with requests and changes to the housekeeping daily plan. He/she assists the manager with new housekeeper training. cleaning of all public areas, apartments, lobbies, cabins, bunk rooms, & Kestrel hotel rooms as well as doing laundry in between as needed.

Lead Grounds Technician

NorthBay is seeking a Grounds Lead Technician to be responsible for the overall grounds maintenance of NorthBay and supervision of all grounds projects. This position calls for hands-on involvement and inspection, care of landscape and grounds, prioritization, managing project teams and contractors, researching and implementing projects.

NorthBay is looking for a highly motivated individual who is both task-driven and team-oriented. Successful candidates will have at least 3 years of supervisory experience and 5 years’ experience in grounds maintenance. Excellent, positive communication skills and the ability to multi-task are vital to this role.

NorthBay is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain the camp property as part of the Maintenance Team. This is an entry-level position which will offer the opportunity to hone existing ability and learn new skills. Ideal candidates have the ability to work both independently and as a team, with the capacity to progress toward a goal independently. Tasks include repairs, painting, trash removal and minor construction. This position can be physically demanding and applicants need to be able to lift up to 70 pounds, walk moderate distances and be on your feet most of the day.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who can work independently and effectively within a team. This individual must be able to convey a sense of hospitality and concern as she/he relates to students, guests and staff, providing excellent food quality and customer service to all constituents.
