Join the Eco-Action STEM Challenge!

Hosted by Cecil County Public Schools, Fair Hill Nature Center & NorthBay

Attention all Cecil County High School Juniors and Seniors!

Are you ready to make a difference in your community and the environment? Participate in the Eco-Action STEM Challenge, an exciting environmental competition for 11th and 12th graders!

What is the Eco Challenge? The Eco-Action STEM Challenge is a high school environmental competition where students, in teams of 3-5, tackle local environmental issues with innovative solutions. Each team will be supported by at least one adult advisor from their school or organization.

    • Teams will develop an action plan to address a local environmental problem. This plan should include detailed explanations, research findings, suggested solutions, and an implementation strategy.

    • On February 18th, 2025, NorthBay will host a “Shark Tank”-style event where each team will present their plans to a panel of expert judges. The winning project will receive a prize for all team members.
